Performance-Engineered Release Coatings for a Wide Range of Industrial Applications

Secoa Metal Finishing’s fluoropolymer coatings, also known as release coatings, are engineered to reduce friction and protect surfaces. These state-of-the-art chemical coatings are perfect for a wide range of industrial applications.

We offer custom release coating services tailored to meet your specific project requirements. If you need help determining which coating type will be best for your product, give us a call and we will be happy to advise you.

Precision Engineered to Eliminate Friction & Corrosion

Secoa’s fluoropolymer coatings can save you time and money while keeping your machines clean by helping your equipment run smoothly without the addition of dirt-attracting lubricants. Our optimized release coatings also prevent component seizure or failure due to corrosion, keeping machines operating consistently, even after long periods of dormancy.

In addition to reducing the coefficient of friction for smoother, more energy-efficient operation, release coatings from Secoa Metal Finishing can reduce (or even eliminate) excess noise and vibration produced by your equipment.

At Secoa Metal Finishing, we formulate our release coating systems using the highest quality products so that we can ensure exceptional results for every project. Fluoropolymer Coating Options from Secoa Metal Finishing

Our release coating services are tailored to meet the exacting standards of our clients. Peruse our fluoropolymer coating options below to determine which is best for your application..

FluoroClad 5

Fluoroclad 5 is a water-based dispersion (wet spray) four-coat system that employs a titanium reinforced matrix designed for use as a mold release. It is especially effective in applications where non-stick properties and high cleanability are desired. This coating is designed for both industrial and food contact applications. FC 5 is especially noted for its excellent durability and high heat tolerance. It offers maximum continuous temperature resistance of 500° F (260° C). This coating system complies with the FDA code of federal regulations referenced in CFR title 121 subsection 175.300. It is also compliant with California prop 65.

FluoroClad 6

Fluoroclad 6 is a two-coat system designed for a wide range of industrial applications where high levels of release and very good abrasion resistance are required. This coating has excellent abrasion resistance due to its low coefficient of friction.  FC 6 has a continuous operating temperature rating of 450° F (232° C). This coating system complies with the FDA code of federal regulations referenced in CFR title 121 subsection 175.300.

FluoroClad 7

Fluoroclad 7 is a three-coat water based dispersion (wet spray)  coating system. FC 7 exhibits enhanced nonstick properties combined with outstanding durability. It has been specially formulated for application to surfaces of cookware, bakeware, and cutlery. It has a maximum continuous temperature resistance of 500° F (260° C). This coating system complies with the FDA code of federal regulations referenced in CFR title 121 subsection 175.300.

FluoroClad 19

Fluoroclad 19 is a highly durable two-coat system that exhibits excellent release properties. FC 19 is available as both a wet dispersion coating and a powder coating. It is typically applied as a combination wet and powder coating, with the first coat a water-based primer and the second coat a powder. However, there is a powder primer specially developed to accompany the  top coat. All forms of FluoroClad 19 are compliant with FDA Code CFR Title 121, subsection 175.300 guidelines for food contact.

FluoroClad SDFC

Fluoroclad SDFC is our ceramic reinforced, two coat water based system that was specifically devised to repel slag buildup and weld splatter.
